Saskia Scott is an artist and curator based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. She graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts with a specialisation in Ceramics from the University of South Australia in 2016, and her current practice spans a range of mediums. She has undertaken residencies at Format Systems, Adelaide and The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China. Her most recent work, Fragments, explores grief, embodiment, and catharsis through the lens of black porcelain. In 2017, Saskia exhibited her conceptually-grounded sculpture at The Lost Ones Contemporary Art Gallery in Ballarat, KINGS Artist Run in Melbourne, and Floating Goose Gallery, Adelaide. Since completing a Graduate Certificate in Art History from the University of Adelaide in 2017, Saskia has also worked as a freelance curator. She is currently the Gallery Administrator for the Australian National University School of Art & Design Gallery in Canberra. Prior to this she was the Gallery Coordinator for the Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation, delivering a changing exhibition program across four gallery spaces and an artist in residence program within the Women's and Children's Hospital in North Adelaide.
