Saskia Scott is an artist and curator based in Adelaide, South Australia. She trained formally as a ceramicist at the University of South Australia and her current practice spans a range of mediums. She has undertaken residencies at Format Systems and The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, and maintains a studio at The Mill. Her most recent work, Fragments, explores grief, embodiment, and catharsis through the deceptively simple lens of black porcelain. In 2017, Saskia exhibited her conceptually-grounded sculpture at The Lost Ones Contemporary Art Gallery in Ballarat, KINGS Artist Run in Melbourne, and Floating Goose Gallery, Adelaide. Since completing a Graduate Certificate in Art History from the University of Adelaide, Saskia has also worked as a freelance curator. In her current role as Gallery Coordinator for the Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation, Saskia delivers a changing exhibition program across four gallery spaces and an artist in residence program within the Women's and Children's Hospital. She has previously interned with the Flinders University Art Museum, Tandanya, and the SASA Gallery.
